Children & Worship
Ages 3-1st grade

Children & Worship is available for 3-year-olds - 1st grade during the sermon (August-June). The classroom is located on the lower level next to the Nursery. Children return to their parents/guardians during the closing song.

In Children & Worship activities are developed around the order of worship commonly used in Reformed churches: assemble in God's name; proclaim God's Word; give thanks to God; go in God's name.  We offer lessons based on parables of the kingdom, selected passages from the Old Testament, and stories that are part of the liturgical year.  The curriculum used relies on Maria Montessori and Sofia Cavalletti's methods ("Young Children and Worship" written by Sonja M. Stewart and Jerome W. Berryman).
