Upper Room

The Upper Room
Students 9th - 12th Grade

EVERY Wednesday (September - April) from 7-9 PM
Location: Escalon Christian Reformed Church, 2203 California St, Escalon, CA 95320

“The Upper Room exists to serve and worship God by coming to know Him, by worshiping Him accordingly and through serving this community and our world.”

The Upper Room is the high school ministry for any and all students who are in 9th to 12th grades.

Why is it called “The Upper Room”? The Upper Room is the space in the upstairs of the church that God has blessed us to use! But it is also a reference to the final place where Jesus met, ate with, encouraged, comforted, and taught His disciples all together before he was crucified. We meet regularly throughout the school year on Wednesday nights from 7 - 9pm. We take the summers off, however, we do have several activities throughout the summer including: pool parties, fun nights, mission trip opportunities, and summer camp. Our evenings will fall into one of three categories:

Faith Nights: This is our typical meeting making up most of our schedule. The purpose of a faith night is to disciple students through teaching and relationship building, primarily through a biblical message and small group time.

Fun Nights: These nights are exactly what they sound like, FUN! Fun nights are a great opportunity to build relationships between the students, and between leaders and students. Fun nights may cost money and be something we travel to (i.e., Laser Tag) or may be without cost and done in the Upper Room.

Serve Nights: Serve nights are about putting our faith into action. This is an opportunity for students to bless others, to discover gifts that God has given them, to see & experience other people’s struggles, and to grow in their faith.
